Ron joined our virtual wine tasting series, which showcased his 2017 Tempranillo from Spicewood Vineyards. This amazing Tempranillo received a Double Gold and Best of Class at the 2020 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition!
For those who are new to the wine world, Ron Yates is the sister winery to Spicewood Vineyards, which has been producing distinguished Texas Hill Country wines that are known for their timeless appeal and exceptional character since 1992.

The Austin Texas Wine Society did a double feature, tasting the 2018 Papa Frenchy (100% Mouvedre) and the 2017 C.L. Butaud (100% Tempranillo)! The Tempranillo received 91 from Decanter, and Papa Frenchy is an excellent wine that pairs very well with Texas BBQ and other dishes.

Also, to add to the excitement, both of these wines we featured recently received GOLD MEDALS from competitions such as the Texas International Wine Competition and the RODEOHOUSTON International Wine Competition!
